The influence of post-conciliary documents on the holistic formation in St. Monica schools

Abstract

This research discusses how pastoral care, as envisioned by the post Vatican II documents on Catholic education, is being implemented in the two St Monica secondary schools in Malta. Interviews held with the Head teachers and the pastoral care team leaders as well as a self-administered questionnaire given to the teaching staff of both schools reveal that the pastoral care provided in these schools is in conformit'y with the post-conciliar documents and is given priority at both schools. Suggestions were made for a more effective pastoral care at both schools.
