| Abstract: | This paper studied the latest addition in the local capital market, namely, Prospects MTF as a multilateral trading facility operated by the Malta Stock Exchange. The study compared and differentiated the requirements of Prospects MTF with those pertaining to the regulated market, while comparing Prospects MTF with similar platforms in other countries. An analysis was additionally undertaken of the legal procedure and general process that the companies must undergo to obtain a Prospects MTF listing. Finally, the study delved into the liabilities and legal obligations of the issuers to their investors. |
