L-edukazzjoni fil-gazzetti (1946-1955)

Abstract

This dissertation consists of research of material dealing with educational issues published in the local newspapers during the period of 1946-1955. This research led us to build up a bibliographical compilation of articles which refer to education. The articles are classified under the following twelve principal topics: ld-Dipartiment ta' l-Edukazzjoni; il-Kwistjoni tal-Lingwa; Edukazzjoni Teknika u tas-Snajja; Limportanza tat-tagħlim u l-Edukazzjoni tal-Poplu; L-Edukazzjoni Obbligatorja; Skejjel tal-Gvern u l-lġene fl-lskejjel; Kulleġġi, Skejjel u lstituti Privati; il-Liceo u l-Universita'; Taħrig, Pagi u Kundizzjonijiet ta' l-Għalliema; L-Għaqda ta' l-għalliema (M.U.T.) u l-Attivitajiet Ii wettqet; Eżamijiet. This work shows the main educational events which occurred during that period, when education was a controversial issue. This study should be of great benefit to researchers or anyone interested in the studies of the history of Education in Malta.
