Abstract: Malta's accession into the European Union and the increasing amount of nationalities and ethnic groups coming to live on our shores leads us to ask questions - how much do Maltese adolescents know about other religions and how ready are they to accommodate them into their own culture? Through this study I wish to answer these questions by surveying form four students. After reviewing literature in the areas of Religious studies, multifaith education and tolerance I intend to devise a questionnaire composed of closed ended questions and five Likert-scale items. The questions would be steered so as to determine students' knowledge about different traditions, their attitudes towards them and whether they would like to learn more about them in the R.E classroom.
