| Abstract: | Din id-dissertazzjoni tittratta dwar il-hajja ta' Dun Ludovik Mifsud Tommasi (1796-1879) u s-sehem tieghu fit-tiswir tal-letteratura Maltija. Mifsud Tommasi huwa figura importanti fil-qasam tal-lingwa u t-teologija ghax kiteb versi devozzjonali bil-Malti, speejalment "Il-Kurunelli" u t-traduzzjoni ta' "L-Inni Mqaddsa". Ix-xoghol tieghu kellu effett qawwi fuq l-edukazzjoni religjuza u huwa ghamel isem bhala wiehed mill-pijunieri tal-kitba bil-Malti. Il-parti l-kbira ta' dan ix-xoghol tanalizza l-lingwa letterarja tieghu, l-aktar fejn jissemmew "L-Inni Mqaddsa". |
