Abstract

This Dissertation consists of research of material dealing with education published in the local newspapers between 1916and1930. The aim of the dissertation is to set up a bibliographical compilation of articles which refer to Education. A brief account and reference of each article is to be found under ten specific educational topics. The research shows the main hallmarks of educational development during that period when education was perceived to be a controversial issue. Our study should be beneficial to educators and students in their studies of the history of Education in Malta.
