Abstract: | The legal nature of Wages Councils was examined in some detail by H. M. Court of Criminal Appeal presided over by the Hon. Mr. Justice W. harding, B.Litt., LL.D., on the 19th September, 1953, where the invalidity of an order made by the Minister on the advice of a Wages Council was being pleaded. It was alleged that the Council had not considered the representations made to it by interested parties and that the advice given to the Minister was in face not that of the whole Council bit of two members only who were not sitting as a Council at the time the decision was reached. |
