The spirituality of Maria Theresa Nuzzo and her option of the poor

Abstract

While dealing with the spirituality of Maria Theresa Nuzzo and her option of the poor, I will give a short biography of Maria Theresa Nuzzo, the foundress of the Congregation of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart. She will be placed in the proper historical context of the time in which she lived between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century in Malta. The economic, political and religious developments of the time in which one lives are important, as they play a major role in one's life.
