Abstract: The primary objective of this dissertation was to evaluate whether the aim of developing Critical and Creative Thinking in the Systems of Knowledge Programme was taking place. This study provides a review of research on the two concepts of Critical and Creative Thinking and some of the assumptions and theoretical standpoints which underline it. Information on overseas Critical and Creative Thinking Skills Programmes is also given. To evaluate our objectives we adopted a quantitative and qualitative research design. Our research included observations of Systems of Knowledge lectures and seminars and an analysis of the three projects included in this programme. We also prepared a questionnaire for the students and teachers so as to include their point of view. After analysing the data collected, we discovered that several factors were hindering the students from developing their Critical and Creative Thinking Skills. Thus one of the aims of the Systems of Knowledge Programme was not being reached.
