Conservation of heritage through film

Abstract

Malta has served as a backdrop for films for almost a century. The patchwork of Eastern and Western influences that have left their mark on Malta's character and history has served as a backdrop for landscapes, seascapes and townscapes for various films. Since then our film industry has gone from strength to strength, playing a vital role in promoting Malta's cultural heritage and in generating valuable income, thus boosting Malta's economy.
