Abstract: The laws and regulations reflected in this dissertation determine the manner in which Fund Administrators are regulated in various jurisdictions. The main premise of this thesis is to critically analyze the difference in the method of regulation (if at all regulated) of Fund Administrators domiciled in various jurisdictions. The analysis will show the difference in the regulation between the various regulatory authorities and will highlight the various requirements applicable to Fund Administration. The dissertation also includes an overview of the functions of a Fund Administrator, as well as an opinion based interpretation by some of the locally recognized Fund Administrators on the most salient aspects of Fund Administration. As a result, any possible improvements and or flaws of the current regulatory system were extracted. The conclusion will provide an analysis of the current regulatory framework and any suggestions that may enhance such rules.
