Abstract: Fiduciary law is about special relationships that impose high standards of conduct on the person considered to be a fiduciary. The introduction gives a brief historical background of how fiduciary law developed in Civil law and Common law jurisdictions. The origins of fiduciary law date back to Roman times. However in England such concept only gained ground during the middle ages.
