| Abstract: | A qualitative and quantative study of the nematode population amongst equines was carried out locally. The species were identified through the egg flotation method, and the extent of infestation of the equines under study (n=70) was tested by means of the McMaster Egg Counting Technique. The factors which could possibly affect the equine nematode population were also analysed by interviewing the owners on the horses' characteristics and management. |
