Abstract: | Advancements in multimedia systems over the years have led to improved video coding schemes. The most recent standard is the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard, which was completed in early 2013. This standard achieves better coding performance with significant data compression for high-resolution videos, whilst maintaining the same visual quality compared to prior standards. |
