The solution proposed by this research shows that it is possible to formulate an EI specific project framework that builds on a solid software engineering foundation while addressing the specific challenges within EI projects. The solution foundation of Business Process Management Frameworks, Business Process Modelling Notation, EI Architecture components and views, UML profiling mechanism, UML profiles for Enterprise Application Integration, Integration flow implementation analysis, project management document templates and Process Calculus theory, provide the basis for addressing the EI project challenges. The proposed value of this solution is that of increasing the probability of project success by directly addressing the EI project challenges within an EI specific project framework.en_GB
