Abstract: | In line with Martin Luther King Jr (1957), I believe that “life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” for the ramifications of doing-for-others or helping, in reference to counselling research and practice, far exceed the mere acts of doing and helping and the benefits reaped by those on the receiving end. I am therefore writing this short article to explain how my affinity for helping has shaped both my existence and livelihood so far. |
