Abstract: This long essay looks at Ethnic Entrepreneurship in Malta. I consider the tern 'ethnic entrepreneurship' as being the same as immigrant or minority entrepreneurship, as I understand it to be referring to immigrant and minority groups. Generally speaking, immigrant entrepreneurship is a fact, but economic success is not assured. Most operate at the lower end of the market since entry obstacles are low and weak and can therefore be overcome. Survival not to mention success is difficult, asking for long hours and dependency on social relations. Profits are minimal, labour conditions may be substandard and informal practices are carried out.
