The aim of this study is to examine the congruence of the design of the Communication Studies Programme with the realities of the job market and whether post graduate employment patterns have changed over the years. For the purpose of this study, a mail survey w::is sent to ::ill those who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from the first group who graduated in 1988 to the latest group who graduated in 1995. For the purpose of a deeper study of the graduates' personal opinion of the course and subsequent career life outside University the author conducted a number of informal interviews. A detailed analysis and discussion of results obtained from the survey is presented. The opinion of the interviewees is also documented with quotations from their own testimony to make the reading more interesting. A summary of the findings as well as suggestions from graduates themselves are included in the last chapter.en_GB
