This paper is meant to complement the video production, Le Cri et Le Silence (L-Ghajta u S-Silenzju). Its main purpose is to serve as a documentation of the approach, form, proceedings and analysis of the video. The production Le Cri et Le Silence is about the makings of the artist Antoine Camilleri. This includes his influences, inspirations, thoughts and their final expression in his work. When asked to look back on his life and to describe it, Antoine invariably states that his life has been "Le Cri et le Silence"; he feels that it has been a contrast of energy and reflection. Professor Kenneth Wain comments: the most common subjects for Camilleri's artistic inspiration are his own life with all its ups and downs, its moments of calm and suffering ... from the energy of the earlier years into the reflective, or contemplative stages of later life. The 15 minute programme seeks to portray that indivisible bond between Antoine the man and Antoine the artist.en_GB
