Abstract: This dissertation involves the production of a video-poem, a personal adaptation and visual representation of the poem "I Want It" by Philip Wells. In combining poetry, acting, movement, visuals, video techniques, music and sound, this project seeks to convey poetry in a different light, serving as a diverse means for self-expression and creativity. This project endeavours to explore the entire production process from pre-production to post-production, mapping out the various stages one must experience when undertaking such a task. A thorough analysis on edited visuals and sound is also included, describing the reason and procedure for their inclusion. Animating the poem and bringing it to life through self-expression was one of the main concerns, touching on performance poetry and transporting it to a different height, making it more attractive to the general public.
