The following dissertation consists of the written material needed to supplement a 24-minute short fiction video, a ten-track C.D. of originally composed score and artwork designs: Visiting Time. I opted to have two tutors to support me in the Audio and Video productions: Mr. Ivan Scicluna and Ms. Louiselle Vassallo Included you will find all relevant documentation including the shooting screenplay, song lyrics, score composition, on-site still photography, a shooting schedule, a detailed bibliography, a list of influencing movies (mainly Magnolia) and my dissertation proposal. In addition all background philosophical rationale, research sources and methodological approach in attaining the finished project at also included. With a philosophy yearning, I liked to venture in the realms of time, reality, space-time, chaos, coincidence, determinism, knowledge, the eternal and infinite: all leading to the ultimate question: Who are we?. I always thought movies are the ideal medium for narration, especially if it is fragmented. I opted for a video and audio production dissertation, since the hands-on experience, though definitely demanding and seemingly strenuous, matures you, allows delving in the realm of discovery and knowledge and let you grow as a 'complete' person. However such an experience should always be backed with sound theory and literature background. I find the production of a movie from concept, through script, to ultimately producing it very appealing and challenging, yet so much satisfactory and definitely worthwhile. More so, I opted for such an ambitious dissertation so to grasp this dear opportunity to freely produce something I idealized without undertaking 'any' compromises. Within a absorbed workforce and a society reckoning success as financial acquisition, to freely be expressive is a dear opportunity not to be missed. Ultimately, the production process was a itself a story of chance, coincidences, and fortunate accidents. Strange things happen all the time as Truth is stranger than fiction .....en_GB
