Abstract: | The hypothesis formulated throughout this research, was that students with a high stress level make more use of their mobile phone than those with a lower stress level. Students attending the Junior College, the I.T.S., the University of Malta, and the M.C.A.S.T. of Corradino Hill Paola participated by completing a self administered questionnaire designed for this study. The study concluded that there is no relationship between mobile phone usage and stress and thus the data obtained did not support this hypothesis. However this research indicates Higher Secondary students to be more affected by stress than Tertiary education students. Several resources including the Internet were utilised in gathering the literature review information. A series of recommendations for future research in this area have been documented in the last chapter of this dissertation. |
