Abstract: The similarities between fashion and architecture may not be very apparent at first glance, due to the obvious differences which categorise the two disciplines. Fashion is generally associated with the ephemeral, material and to following fads and trends of the moment. It is generally made out of fabric which is compared to a weak and fragile material. On the other hand, architecture is perceived as being permanent, monumental and constructed out of durable materials. Yet nowadays this perception has changed and these two disciplines are becoming more and more similar and further linked to one another.
