Abstract: Particular admixtures have been developed over the last 20 to 25 years to deal with the phenomenon of reinforcement corrosion. Expectations are that these admixtures reduce, inhibit or prevent corrosion of steel imbedded in concrete. However, their performance could vary under specific conditions. In this research, one such corrosion inhibitor is put under laboratory testing. The tests done are accelerated and conditions are rather severe. The results obtained from different samples are compared thereafter. Other additional works done on corrosion inhibiting systems come into help while trying understanding the behavior of the tested specimens.
