Abstract: | The term "theatre" conjures the idea of picture-frame theatre for most people, since it is the most common form of theatre in this country and throughout Europe. It is widespread because it has a long history. The "Proscenium" separates the stage from the auditorium, and if centuries of development have lead to a measure of protection, this perfection belongs to the era which produced it and the entertainments which it accommodated. |
