Abstract: This is a study which analyses the various possibilities regarding the use or treated water at the Sant'Antnin Sewage Treatment Plant for the Maltese Industry. It also considers the possible uses or sewage sludge. Until recently, sewage treated water has been successfully used for agricultural purposes. This has brought about an increase in agricultural produce. Constant chemical, physical and biological monitoring or the fields is being done so that the saline content in the soil is checked. Even though the effluent is more saline than natural rain-water, no adverse result has as yet been recorded.
