The Maltese economy : a brief overview

Abstract

This booklet is essentially a summarized version of The Maltese Economy - A Macroeconomic Analysis by the same author, with updated data. It was prepared for the course "The Structure and Performance of a Small Open Economy - Model Malta", organized by the Malta Federation of Industry in May 1989. As its name implies, the publication briefly outlines the Maltese economy, and covers the most important macroeconomic variables including Output, Employment, Money Supply, and the Balance of Payments. It Contains eight chapters, which are more or less self contained, and can be read in any order.
