Abstract: Little research can be found on the effect which the use of high ductility steel has on the behaviour of reinforced concrete structures. The aim of the study is to investigate the flexural behaviour of concrete beams reinforced with HD-Pittini steel and then to carry out a comparison with the behaviour or concrete beams reinforced with other types of cold-worked high-yield steel. The experimental study highlights the influence which the type of steel reinforcement used, the concrete grade, and the tension to compression steel ratios has on the flexural behaviour of the concrete elements.
