Abstract: With Malta being a predominantly Roman Catholic Island, this long essay will explore the potential to present the Faith-Based Tourism niche to youths, through organised events. According to the World Tourism Organisation (2016), there is a growing trend for youths to travel to seek an experience from events. Therefore, this long essay will explore the possibility for organising Christian Youth Festivals in Malta and what may be the benefits of this. Furthermore, it will explore what could potentially motivate youths to attend such events. An inductive study was carried out using interview research, to reach these aims. The findings highlighted that The Maltese Islands do have the potential to attract tourism by hosting Christian Youth Music Festivals. However, there are a number of barriers blocking this.
