| Abstract: | This study adopted a quantitative approach and aimed to investigate the Maltese public’s perceptions of crime and security as well as the police and policing activities. In this study, a questionnaire was administered that included a number of key scales including those concerned with perceptions of crime, fear of crime, concerns and worries about crime, attitudes towards the police, and trust in the police. Notably, this study also further investigates the findings from Study 2 in Volume 1 of the Policing Report, by examining the results within different demographic groups. |
