Abstract: | Football today has become a large business industry, involving large amounts of money. As is commonly seen on the media, people are investing large amounts in the football industry. Certain football clubs have become companies and are quoted on the stock exchange. This involves maintaining proper accounts and presenting annual reports according to standards and other regulations. Malta is no exception although the money involved is on a smaller scale as compared to abroad. For this reason, the Malta Football Association has issued a set of requirements concerning financial reporting by Maltese football clubs. |
