Abstract: This is a short study into the feasibility of blast freezing locally produced fresh vegetables into pre-packed retail and whole-sale packs to substitute present imports. The deep freezing method of preserving food is keyed to modern life. For many people nowadays, the saving of time is more important than a tight budget, although of course, time saving can lead to money saving. Time can be saved in that with frozen vegetables, the housewife is spared the unnecessary bother of having to go shopping for fresh vegetables every morning. She can buy the varieties she likes once a week, put them in her freezer and use them at her convenience.
