The water problem : an analysis

Abstract

The task of supplying adequate and wholesome supplies of potable water to a country which is expanding in all sectors, especially in the industrial, touristic and the agricultural fields and which is continuously increasing its standard of living, is essential to the economy of that country. When this country is such as Malta, with poor natural water resources, since it lack the rivers, lakes and abundant rainfall of more favoured regions, this task becomes a problem to be tackled with determination and professionalism.
