Abstract: The study aims to identify the attitudes and perceptions of Maltese women towards entrepreneurship. The undertaken analysis reveals the key barriers and motivators of becoming an entrepreneur as perceived by women who are not entrepreneurs themselves. When these attitudes were compared with the views of successful women entrepreneurs, the responses between the two surveys varied. This shows that certain misconceptions are persistent in the Maltese stereotyped society. On the other hand, the younger generation is becoming more prone towards adopting an entrepreneurial mindset.
