| Abstract: | Tourism has become an established industry in Malta, both in terms of the importance given to it by the Authorities and in terms of the invisible earnings it yields. It is the aim of this paper to consider the importance of the gross income generated by tourism and the importance of the gross income generated by tourism, the import/export components of this income and hence the net contribution of the tourist industry. |
