| Abstract: | The primary aim of this paper is to derive an estimate of foreign investment in the Hotel Industry in Malta. The data obtained could, in turn, be used to derive an estimate of repatriated profits and consequently help in an assessment of the net contribution of the Hotel Industry to Malta's Balance of Payments. To our knowledge, no attempts have so far been made to estimate the volume of pre-tax profits for potential repatriation. Of course the importance of such information has long been recognized". |
