Abstract: The aim of this study is to obtain an in-depth understanding of multisensory therapy on children with challenging behaviour between the ages of eleven and fifteen. Particularly, this study will seek to answer whether such a therapy decreases challenging behaviour, promote psychological well being and facilitates in the teaching of skills. A qualitative research design consisting of participant observations and interviews will be employed through the use of triangulation. This study will also present a discussion of the results found, especially those dealing with the experiences and benefits of multisensory therapy as argued by the participant's carers. This study also aims to motivate other researchers, in particular those in the Maltese context, to continue exploring such a young therapeutic intervention.
