Abstract: This study attempts to assess the services provided by the General Hospital in Gozo - a manpower-effectiveness assessment. It provides a general exposition and discussion of problems encountered in the administration of a general hospital in a small community like Gozo. Its performance is assessed as well as the original objectives of the project outlined and criticised in contrast to today's accomplishments. The significance of such issues in relation to problem solving is through gaining an understanding of the main functions and responsibilities of the hospital's various sections, while trying to provided possible solutions to the problems currently being faced.
