| Abstract: | The two main objectives of this study in analysing the demand function for gas energy are to obtain an approximation of the price elasticity of demand for gas, that is the effect of a change in price on the demand for gas, and to obtain a value of the response of a commodity are determined, the pricing policy for future consumption of the good can then be deduced. This econometric study begins by formulating a mathematical model, attempting to bond the main structural elements or variables of the model by mathematical relations. Then, making use of the best available historical data, statistical methods are used to obtain estimates of the parameters of the model. |
