Abstract: Many tests, mostly in the USA, were performed with pulverized fuel fly ash from the thermal power plant Delimara that is inoperative nowadays and it was find out that the fly ash exhibits in some ways more dangerous properties than radioactive waste from nuclear power plants. The risk of cancer is increased by exposure to this fly ash by people that are staying long time nearby. The fly ash was dumped and now is stored at landfill and needs to reused. The use of this dangerous fly ash, classified as hazardous waste, to polymer cement mortars containing crystallization admixture seems to be very suitable solution.
