Abstract: The topics being discussed in this Conference relate to Transportation, Planning and Infrastructure, Sustainable Construction & Energy Efficiency, Structural Engineering together with the overriding and important topic of Education in Civil Engineering. This Conference aims at bringing together academics, practitioners, developers and interested associations and agencies motivating them to change their working practices, by stimulating knowledge and the transfer of tools, best practices and resources. As much as it is important to inform and forge links between these stake holders it is equally important to encourage building occupants to improve the energy performance of their buildings and to use energy more rationally.
