The study is aimed at achieving a better understanding of the difference in how males and females perceive sexual intercourse. As Deaux K., 1974 states, there is a general perception in societies that males and females are viewed as opposites. However, recent authors such as Clark (1993), state that now the perception towards sexual intercourse is mutual, irrelevant of gender. Thus, the study's aim is to explore whether there is a difference between the male and female perception of sexual intercourse, and, if there is, what is the cause of this difference. The result of this study can help us understand better the differences in gender, and the cause of these differences. In doing so, it will also help in gaining a better understanding of university students' perception towards sex, as well as help in distinguishing innate traits from traits resulting from nurture. The study was carried out by giving out a hundred questionnaires randomly to university students on campus. Results show that although there are differences in perception towards sexual intercourse between males and females, these differences are more a product of society's subjective culture and upbringing, then gender-based.en_GB
