Abstract: Through secondary data research, this dissertation attempts to explore the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity, in the domestic church. The aim of the study is to show how these virtues which are infused in us by God’s grace can lead the family to exemplify Jesus in their role and mission. The fact that there is a growing interest in these virtues, brought me to get interested in these virtues in the context of the family and the married life. Furthermore, this research sought to explore how the families can live these virtues in order to reach holiness, since it is the call of each Christian. The theological virtues are to be taken into consideration in the context of the relationship with Christ. Speaking about the virtue of love, this has to be cultivated throughout the daily live experience of the domestic church (Pope Francis, 2016). At the same time, it is said that the virtue of hope, through prayer, fills the members of the family with joy and sacredness. Concurrently, when elaborating about the virtue of faith, formation and witness is the parents’ responsibility to live authentically this virtue. Faith, Hope and Charity or Love are at the heart of the Christian life. The Church has the duty to help the families live an authentic life of love, encourages hope and consolidate faith. Moreover, the Church’s mission is to accompany with love and mercy the domestic church when difficulties arise. On the other hand, when baptising their children, the parents are committing themselves to co-operate with God in thriving faith.
