Abstract: This research is being conducted within the ambit of an EU Community Initiative Interreg IIIB ARCHIMED Project, entitled ECOlogical NETwork for the promotion of convergent conservation strategies in Coastal HabitaTs of Community significance (ECONET-COHAST). The project aims to establish coherent strategies at landscape scale for the management of important coastal habitats, to support capacity building and policy actions throughout the region, and to enable the effective dissemination of best practices for coastal habitat management. This document presents the results of Work Package 3 compiled by the International Environment Institute of the University of Malta and concerns the case study sites for the Maltese Islands.
