Socio-legal aspects of recent adoption cases

Abstract

In this dissertation, it is sought to examine the current situation in Malta, not only from the legal point of view, but also from the social aspect. The Law of Adoption in Malta is satisfactory, and the machinery for child care, beneficial; but the situation is to be kept under constant review and there is no room for complacency. Experience shows that the situation evolves continuously and thus poses a challenge for improvements and reform.
