Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to see how well prepared female students, in Governmental Schools are on what is expected from them as soon as they enter the working environment. With the help of this study it is intended to find out whether students in Malta, by the end of their scholastic life, become aware of the rights and obligations needed on the place of work in order to develop a strong character. The aim of this research is to see what the teachers believe is needed for the students and how they think that students should be prepared for the working environment. This will be analysed with the help of interviews to teachers. When conducting focus groups, with few classes, it will be easier to note whether the teachers are achieving their aims. The career counsellors will also be interviewed so that one can get a clearer idea on the students' behaviour once faced with the issue of the world of work.
