Abstract: This dissertation project is inspired by memory, photography, and digital documentation. By observing the connections between these themes through thorough research, an exploration of a fictional narrative is formed. The project is an exploration of altered and fictional memories and this is done by using a photo album as a main case study. Through found objects, photography, and a new means of digital archiving, the project will form a new story and explore the the artist as curator approach. The research focuses on theories that explore memory and digital documentation, such as photography. The project also delves into a research of contemporary photographers and focuses on how they work on a photographic narrative. After taking in all this research, the dissertation delves into the project stage where most of the practical work was done. Photo-taking, editing, and sequencing of images were done throughout this stage. In the conclusion stage, the end result shows a mix of a curation of images, with objects and also a digital curation is presented on the Degree Exhibition Website.
