As we find ourselves in a digital age, digitising offline services and maintaining their technology is paramount in order to stay up to date. Mobile devices have taken over and have become an extension of the human body; allowing opportunities to be seized and applications to be developed to further accommodate us humans. As of now, a local mobile application does not exist in which the user is able to access all driving services through their mobile device in one comprehensive native application. Currently, individuals are required to visit physical outlets or make use of multiple online portals for their driving needs. A mobile application would bridge the gap between the automotive industry and the mobile application industry. This, by building a platform in which pre-licensed and post-licensed driving individuals would be able to make use of various driving services. The author created ‘Cuddy’, a mobile application whereby the user interface and the user experience were bridged. By virtue of interviews, questionnaires and prototyping, the user interface and user experience of the application could be designed. In this way, a need for various digital products within the application was identified. This allowed the identification of a gap within the automotive industry, the creation of an application, ‘Cuddy’, and the establishing of a foundation for the filling of such a gap.en_GB
