Abstract: Social Networking is a phenomenon that has revolutionised communication and changed fundamental processing methods for a lot of immersed users. Successful experiments with the use of Social Networking Sites (SNS) in educational practice have renewed the need for support from librarians who, in their turn need to endorse the digital transformation of communication technologies, in so doing also changing the way they operate. This paper offers a sampling of the literature that deals with these issues.
