Abstract: Robert Caruana Dingli's political cartoons are among the best known of those published at the beginning of the 20th century. In this chapter, letters written to Vincenzo Bonello in the early 1921s, clearly show Caruana Dingli's political inclinations, and his wont to depict them in very well drawn cartoons. Other topics in the letters related to cartoons speak of payment, or the lack of it, by editors. This chapter looks at Robert Caruana Dingli's cartoons from those times in the light of the letters.
